Wir sind Gestern Heute Morgen

Participatory film project × 2020 × with Uta Plate

Wir sind Gestern Heute Morgen (We Are Yesterday Today Tomorrow) started off as a stage piece led by Uta Plate and brought together a group of young people from different backgrounds with seniors from East and West Berlin.

The onslaught of Covid in March 2020 not only brought an instant end to their physical togetherness, it also shone a new and unexpected light on intergenerational coexistence. The ensemble continued their exchange by technological means, via screen calls and video messages. Ultimately, the young set out to fulfil the hitherto unrealized dreams of the old.

Wir sind Gestern Heute Morgen is a unique documentation of the first few months of the global pandemic. It marks the first collaboration with Uta Plate and the beginning of an ongoing series of participatory film projects.
